Johan Weinmann's Phytantoza Iconographia, (1737 to 1745) is a vast work in eight folio volumes with more than a thousand hand-colored engravings representing several thousand plants. Johann Weinmann was the director of the longest established pharmacy in Regensburg. Ehret produced 50 drawings for the Phytantoza Iconographia while working for starvation wages.
