Born November 20, 1887, Sapp lived in Independence, Missouri. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, University of Kansas in Lawrence and Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. He completed a mural for the Kansas City Stock Exchange in 1947 and exhibited extensively around the Kansas City area.
