Carte Nouvelle Du Royaume de Prusse, 1792 (New Map of Prussia) by Jan Barend Elwe This map of Prussia includes an inset plan of Konigsberg, which grew up around the castle built in 1255 by the Teutonic Order. In 1724, three independent parts were united into a single town by Frederick William I. The Napoleonic Wars were just over the horizon, and this map would see many changes.
