This hand-colored map shows fairly good details of the mountains in the west. Oklahoma is still Indian Territory, and the Oklahoma panhandle is called "public territory." The Dakota Territory has not yet been divided into North and South. The map Includes a small vignette of Washington, D.C. in lower left corner.
