north to the British Possessions. Routes of the proposed Pacific Railroad are shown.
This is one of the earliest maps showing Kansas City. Ossawattamie and
Pottawattamie Creek are shown because of the John Brown Massacre, which
started the bloody border war between Kansas and Missouri.
