Mitchell's New National Map, 1858
This large, original map (approx. 5' 5'' X 5' 6") is hung on two wooden dowels. In 1858, Kansas Territory extended west to the Rocky Mountains, and the Nebraska Territory stretched north to British Territory (the future Canada).
