Cover: Fred Ludekens
Fred Ludekens, born in Belvedere, California, was an illustrator, designer and teacher. He studied briefly with O. Shepard, but was mostly self-taught. Several national magazines, including the Saturday Evening Post, bore his covers. Ludekens was a co-founder and teacher at the Famous Artists School in Westport, Connecticut.
