Herbert Bayer
Born April 5, 1900 in Haag, Austria, Bayer studied at the Staatliche Bauhaus, in Weimar, Germany from 1921 to 1923 and taught at the Bauhaus in Dessau as a Young Master o f Typography and Graphic Design from 1925 to 1928. He emigrated to the United States in1938 , working as art director for vari ous companies, including Vogue magazine and Dorland International Design Company.
